EarlyMinds is an educational Android app designed to help children learn interactively through AI-powered learning assistants. The app provides 5 topic-based assistants:
- Image - Visual learning and recognition
- Maths - Mathematical concepts and problem-solving
- Science - Scientific exploration and discovery
- Scholarship - Academic preparation and knowledge
- Story - Creative storytelling and reading comprehension
Children interact with these assistants through a chat interface where they can type or select suggested prompts. The AI may generate text or images as part of the learning experience.
2. Information We Collect
Parent Contact Information
During registration, we may collect a parent's email address or phone number for:
- Account setup and authentication
- Account management and password recovery
- Important updates about the app or your child's account
Important: Your contact information is used only for authentication, account management, and essential communications. We do not use it for marketing purposes or share it with third parties. You can request deletion or updates at any time by emailing support@earlyminds.ai
Profile Information
Parents can create child profiles that include:
- Child's name (for personalization within the app)
- Age (for age-appropriate content customization)

- Parental PIN code (for access control)
Usage Information
During app usage, we temporarily process:
- Chat messages and prompts sent to AI assistants
- AI-generated responses (text and images)

- No child contact information or personal identifiers
- No location data or device identifiers
- No photos or media from your device
- No browsing history or app usage outside EarlyMinds
- No advertising identifiers or tracking cookies

We use the information collected solely to:

- Facilitate password recovery and account management
- Send important updates about your account or the app
- Provide personalized educational content appropriate for your child's age
- Process chat interactions and generate AI responses

Important: We do not use any information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing educational services within the app. Parent contact information is never shared with third parties or used for promotional purposes.

Local Storage
All profile data, settings, and user preferences are stored locally on your device using secure encryption. This data never leaves your device except for the temporary processing of chat messages.
Encrypted Communication
When your child interacts with AI assistants, messages are sent securely to our backend API using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). These communications are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.
Session-Based Processing
Conversation data and generated content are kept session-based only. Once a learning session ends, this data is not retained on our servers. We do not build permanent profiles or histories of your child's interactions.

5. Children's Privacy

- Create, modify, or delete child profiles at any time
- Access all profile settings through PIN protection
- Control which learning assistants are available
- Monitor and manage app usage

Our AI assistants are designed to provide age-appropriate educational content. We implement content filtering and safety measures to ensure children receive suitable learning materials.
No Social Features
EarlyMinds does not include social networking features, chat with other users, or any way for children to share personal information with others.

We do NOT share, sell, or disclose any personal information with third parties.
No Third-Party Services: EarlyMinds does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services.
No Data Sales: We will never sell or rent your child's information to anyone.
Limited Exceptions: We may only disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request (subpoena, court order), or to protect the safety of children or others.

As a parent or guardian, you have the following rights:
- Access: Review all profile information stored locally on your device
- Modification: Update or change any profile settings or information at any time
- Deletion: Delete child profiles and all associated data from your device
- Control: Manage app permissions and restrict access through device settings
- Withdrawal: Uninstall the app at any time to remove all local data
Managing Your Contact Information
You can request to update or delete your email address or phone number at any time by contacting us at support@earlyminds.ai. We will process your request promptly and confirm once completed.
Since most data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your information. Uninstalling the app will permanently remove all profile data from your device.
8. Internet Connection & API Usage
EarlyMinds requires an internet connection to function properly. The connection is used exclusively for:
- Sending chat messages to our AI backend API for processing
- Receiving AI-generated educational responses (text and images)
- Ensuring content is age-appropriate and educationally relevant
No Background Data Collection: The app only communicates with our servers when your child actively interacts with an AI assistant. There is no background data collection or transmission.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Significant changes will be communicated through the app
